Either way, there is a tiny screw holding the leaf spring that tensions the lower thread on the bobbin case, and this is the screw that needs a tweak... Be VERY careful about it! I fiddle with mine a lot (yes, even on my 'factory set' Lily!), but it's easy once you get used to doing it.
