And yes, we have an artificial tree -- given that my dh would sneeze his way through the holidays, and I would be smearing cortisone cream on my hives on my hands and arms otherwise, this is what we've finally had to choose. On the upside, you can hang heavier ornaments, and do some fun things that won't work on a live tree. Our's comes back down as soon after Christmas Day as I can manage it. As far as I'm concerned, when it's over, it's over, and I want it all out of here. Plus, my mother always said it was bad luck to leave the tree up after New Year's Day, and while I'm not generally superstitious, I see no reason to tempt fate. Jere
