For immediate release. InterQuilt announces fund-raising auction InterQuilt announces The Peck Auction to raise funds for Breast Cancer Research. The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation has graciously agreed to accept the net proceeds. This auction features 17 quilts created by members offered on eBay; the online auction site. The auction will run until November 26, 2003. InterQuilt, founded in January, 1993, is an online quilting guild with members from around the globe. Members form a close bond and have an annual conference held in a different city each year, including Sacramento, CA in October of this year. Founder, Melissa Bishop, states "The Peck Auction was created as a means for the members of InterQuilt to cope with the loss of yet another member to Breast Cancer. Phyllis Peck was a long time member who lost her fight with Breast Cancer in July and whose spirit touched us all. We've lost many members to cancer and wanted to do something positive and meaningful to honor them."
