Mix glaze a bit thicker than usual ( some bentonite helps too) and add Epsom salts. It will just thicken it, not change properties of the glaze. It works for me. be careful as it can react with the glaze under and become quite runny. maybe don't apply close to the foot. And I think it is worth doing. Experimenting and questioning is always good. Have an open mind about the expected result. I'd be interested to hear how did it turn out. I often superimpose mat&gloss glazes and love the textures. good luck, Andrea "Charles Spitzer" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote in message news:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > a light sandblast to provide a bit of tooth? > > "Wendy Cyrenne" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote in message > news:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > > I glazed a pot at Cone 6, but am not happy with the matte finish.
