MaxSea ver. 7.x or older??

I'm about to cross over from The Cap'n since there is no longer product/user
support for the 'pre' Mosaic (ver 7.x).. Too bad..

I am considering an older version of MaxSea ver. 7.x (my laptop is too slow
for the later versions). I think they are up to about ver.10.x now..

I understand that MaxSea can load and display Cmap93, BSB/KAP and HDR.

Does anyone have any experience with MaxSea and especially the 7.x version.

I'm interested with the hardware interface ability, AP, GPS port asignment.
Also how about up/downloading of way points (Import/Export) features.
