Re: tubulars vs. clinchers

I've been riding tubs since the 60s but the roads in my city were better
then. I stopped racing in '80. I own one pair of clinchers since 89 and had
about 6 flats on them. Used to wear out my tubs, (racing, training) maybe
1-2 flats a year, before city got real dirty.

My road bike don't get out much cuz I ride MTB 99% (I only get to track 1-2x
a year)

Going thru my stuff at mom's house, I found a box of a dozen tubs I bought
from 75 to 85. Barums, Clements, etc. Totally unused! side walls okay the
rimtape on the Barums coming off at the folds.

Are they still ridable? how long would innertube last?
I'll hate to mount them only for them to go boom after a mile of riding! :)
