Although Red China could destroy Taiwan by slagging it down into a radioactive glaze, they do not have the capability (at this time) of actually invading. Insufficient troop-carriers, almost non-existant training/equipping of "hit the beach" troops ekcetra. Right after the MOAB was recently tested in Florida, I did a little calculating. Should Red China start shipping an invasion force across to attack the Republic of Taiwan, I figure that 3 dozen or so MOABs would effectively destroy the PLAN force. With NO nasty residuals. And at VERY small expense. Can't help but wonder if that possibility isn't part of the reason for MOAB's development...
