You may be right. It is very hard to compare the taxation levels, as the taxes are levied differently in different countries. Some put a flat or progressive tax on the car's value, other factor in weight, horse power, displacement, country of origin etc. Total taxes around 200% are not unheard of in Denmark or Norway either.
