Yes, you can patch it, I didn't realized the severity. Some shop charge the
same for patch and new. The shape of a patch is noticeable to a trained eye
but if it's a crack it won't be noticeable.

I  agree that they took the risk to park in your drive way they ought to pay
for their misfortunes.
