I agree with the fellow that advocated the hex-head, stainless steel. I would also suggest that you find the type that have the solid band underneath to prevent the hose from extruding through the holes in the band that mate with the threads of the screw. We use this type for our rubber vacuum lines at the lab. I purchased them from McMaster-Carr but I'm almost certain that MSC (www.mscdirect.com) or W.W.
