I hope Tony Jardine enjoyed himself at the Wales Rally GB at the weekend, despite finishing 37th of 39 finishers, (there was about 70 cars that started the weekend so finishing was good in itself). I was watching him cornering somewhere around stage 11, (Halfway 2). Whilst trying to keep warm, I had to try and spot the expression on Jardines face. He almost lost it in the exit of the corner and the expression on his face would suggest that the calm F1-ITV pundit wasn't acting so calm at that point. On a sad note, it was to be the last appearance of the Mini Cooper in a WRC event. The category it is in doesn't exist next year and the roars of the fans everytime it passed showed how much it will be missed. It was running last, but on Halfway 2, was catching the car in front when it passed us. Still finished last, almost 3hrs behind Solberg, but made us all smile.
