There's something to what you say, but I beleive Nextel will be one of the survivors. For various reasons Nextel and Verizon have an edge over the others. Sprint, on the otherhand, I think is the most likely to fail or be absorbed (of the majors). Alltel is the big mystery to me. They're well run, but they're regional and it's way late to try & expand to be national. John
