I snipped everything, cuz it was long. :-) I think both of you have great points, and I'm glad to get such interesting replies. I'm somewhere in the middle. Winning is a good thing, but I still think consistancy should play a part. Anyone can turn a fast lap, or in Ryan's case, get a lucky dog pass to victory lane... ;-) It takes skill too keep on finishing HIGH enough to win a championship. Heck, Derrike Cope won a Daytona 500...but everyone knows how abd he sucks...So Newman gto 8 wins. Congratulations, and good job. Maybe next year, he can get 8 wins,a nd still finish high enough in his "off" weeks to prove he's really got what it takes to be in Nascar. Don't get em wrong, Newman has won me over as a believer and fan. Ask my friends, I made fun of him at the beginnign fo the year, cuz they all kept choosing him in our racing pools. Now, I list him as one of my 3 favorite drivers. FYI 29 rulz! 48 is a close second...and newman has been growing on me since the second half.
