The import market share has been dropping for the last 10 years.
I beleive it's currently somewhere around 15%.

What's been skyrocketing is the US production of Japanese brand
cars.  If the quarterly estimates from earlier this year hold
true, US production in order is GM, Ford, Toyota, DC and Honda.
