WSS: Disbury Racing round four preview

Confidence high at CDR

As the World Series Sprintcar Championship heads to the Avalon Raceway
this Saturday night both Craft Disbury Racing Drivers are full of
confidence knowing that they have shown good speed in the opening two
rounds.

American Sensation, Jason Johnson was a serious contender for the victory
in last weekend's round at Adelaide starting from third in the
A-Main event and holding down second for the majority of the race. It was
only a faulty power steering pump and a clump of clay that knock two
Eagle plug leads adrift leaving him with six cylinders for the last 10
laps that cost him a shot at the victory.

"The car felt real good and I felt that we had something for Brooke
but in the end we were happy just to gets some points towards the
Championship,” said Johnson following last week's event.

"It was rather ironic that only during the day we had made some
larger plug lead guards somehow they still managed to get knocked
off."

While Johnson has never seen the Avalon circuit before his fellow
Aussiefast Transport/STP driver, Brad Heywood has visited the tight
Victorian bull ring on several occasions and has stood on top of the
podium on more than one occasions there.

The former World Series Sprintcar Champion describes the Avalon circuit
like this "It is a tough track to get your set up right very early
in the night. Avalon is a very tight track and difficult to pass on. It
is one where lapped cars always play a big part in the finishing order of
the leaders. I debuted a brand new car here back in 1991 and was on the
pace from the outset setting quick time, winning both heats, finished
second in the dash and won the feature."

Throughout the opening two rounds of this year's Championship
Heywood has been in a position to challenge for a top 3 finish before a
spin and an accident ended his charge.

"The guys have done a great job to get the car better throughout the
opening couple of rounds. It seems that every time I go out on the track
the car continually gets better," says Heywood.

The fourth round of World Series Sprintcars will be live on
www.sprintcarworld.com.au from 6:00pm Eastern Daylight Saving Time with
live audio and results.

On Sunday at 10:00am the opening round of World Series Sprintcars from
Brisbane will be shown on Channel 9 across Australia where both Craft
Disbury Racing drivers were in the thick of the action.
