Chassis programme Franck Montagny continued testing suspension developments which were first run at Valencia. Tyre programme The main part of Montagny's programme centred upon tyre work, testing new constructions which once again brought improvements. Other Notes Argentine RDD driver José-Maria Lopez ran 60 laps before an engine failure curtailed his day. Montagny completed 12 laps in chassis 05 to establish a baseline set-up before Lopez took the wheel. Weather forecasts for tomorrow are particularly poor, and if the weather turns out as expected, the team will assess circuit conditions before continuing the running of the young drivers. Pat Symonds, Executive Director of Engineering: "Overall, a successful day for us in Barcelona. Franck continued his good work from Valencia, and finished the day atop the timesheets. 'J-Lo', as he has been christened, also had a very productive run: he made no mistakes, gave us very good chassis feedback and set reasonable lap-times. He was unfortunate to have an engine failure on what was going to be his quickest lap by some margin, and which would have been close to the target we had set him."
