STOCKCAR: Etheridge set to compete at Five Flags Speedway

Lanier National Speedway Track Champ to Make Pensacola Debut on Saturday

December 2, 2003- Richey Etheridge of Flowery Branch, Ga. will pull his No. 46 Port
City South
Dodge Intrepid onto the historic half-mile Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola,
Fl. on Thursday as he begins preparations for Saturday night's Snowflake
100, a companion race to Sunday's Snowball Derby.

Etheridge, the 2003 Pro Late Model champion at Lanier National Speedway in
Braselton, Ga., will be making his super late model debut.

"I really think we've got a shot to win," Etheridge said. "But, it's going
to be difficult because the track is real tough on tires."

"We're going to go down there and mainly try to have a good run in our first
outing in a four-barrel. But, we're definitely going to win."

While most newcomers struggle to learn the proper set up for the abrasive
track, Etheridge will be able to tap into the knowledge of his veteran
teammate, Wayne Willard of Dacula, Ga., who is entered in Sunday's 300-lap
race.

"It's going to be valuable having Wayne to talk to," Etheridge said. "He
can give me a lot of tips on how to get around the track."

If Etheridge is able to pull off a win Saturday night, he'll make his
Snowball Derby debut the following day. The winner of the Snowflake 100 is
a awarded a provisional starting position for Sunday afternoon's race.
