With CART out and not muddling up the market I expect things to turn
quickly.

A lot will depend on the excitement generated next year.  If the IRL can
maintain what it had the last half of this past season, improve on Indy
presentations (a practical certainty) and Tony George gets his head out
of his ass regarding promotion (especially TV and local venue) I see
2005 as the breakout year.

That's admittedly a lot of ifs.  But the storms have been weathered and
the forecast is for smooth, unincumbered sailing.  The sea monster has
been slain.
