There's at least one project afoot to convert the five-litre Judd V10
sports car engine into a diesel. There's been some talk of a diesel 
(possibly that one) going into the back of an Audi R8 chassis. A certain
Swedish driver has even been linked with the diesel idea...

The ACO seem fairly keen to let alternative forms of fuel into the race
- the bio-ethanol Reynard last year, f'rinstance...
