$300M is cheaper than trial costs? Or the expected result of a trial? Bear in
the entire cost of the Enron litigation over the next 5 years will be $500M; I
wouldn't expect one suit to cost anywhere like that figure.

Seriously though, to pay out $300M as a settlement you've got to be convinced
there's more at stake later in the process, like double or triple that amount.
