Re: Dimmer Switch switch

Maybe some of the street rod vendors could help.
I seem to recall there being replacement turn signal levers and shift levers with switches built in.
You could use one of these with an appropriate relay box.
Google is your friend.

I have a '35 Auburn: '73 Impala front and rear clip, Chevy 350/350.

The dimmer switch is located on the floor to the left of the brake
pedal, leaving me not enough room for my left foot. I had thought about
replacing the steering column ('73 GM with column shifter) for something
newer with a dimmer switch on the column.

Any other ideas?

Thanks,

Move the switch somewhere else on the floor? maybe up just a bit?

The columns from the late 70s mid size GM cars have the dimmer on them...but it hangs on the side of the column (actuated by a rod from the turn signal switch), so it's not pretty in an early car.
