I also have problems with my 1993 Accord LX.  When I try to start it,
below 50'F, it takes several cranks, then starts and the engine light
comes on and idles roughly.  When I put it in Drive, the "D" blinks. 
It stays on until the car is turned off and restarted.  I also have
done all the checks and a tune up.  Any suggestions?
