There are no enviro nuts (to the best of my knowledge) blocking IL53 I355 
construction. There are a bunch rich people in long grove who don't want 
their manisons torn down to extend IL53 beyond lake-cook road. All the "po' 
folk" on the south side of this plan between 355 and I80 lost their 
homes to the bulldozers years ago.
