Oh! Oh! I can answer this one. SAME exact situation happened this morning
on I-84 eastbound near Hartford, CT. I'm on the entrance ramp, far in front
of a long line of cars in the right lane of the interstate. Just about the
point where it was legal for me to merge (without crossing a solid line,
that is), some -lady- in a compact Nissan (Sentra?) sped up to prevent me
from merging. Of course, all the traffic behind her tightened up on her
ass, so I couldn't then slow down to merge BEHIND her. I ended up riding
the shoulder for about a half mile until she finally slowed down to let me
in. Just the way it is in New England, where offensive driving is the norm.
Incidentally, shortly after she finally let me merge, I changed lanes to the
middle (which was surprisingly free of traffic) and the fucktard was FAR
behind me in a matter of seconds. So these idiots don't do it for any
reason but they CAN. -Dave
