    Not hard to find one if it has one.  It runs from the Speedo to the left
front wheel or transmission.  Some cars are using electronics so it could be
just a wire.

    Do you know if you need an inner cable or both?

    It could be a really difficult job due to poor access and because part
of the job may need to be done from under the car and the car needs to be on
a lift to get any kind of reasonable access.

    If you are sure you really want to do it, get the part(s) you need from
VW and you will at least know what it looks like and what you are looking
for.
