The 10-foot built-in cable is not a limitation. You can extend it with a common powered USB hub. I've been using the Red Rover through a hub with about 20 feet of cable attached. I'm selling this item not because it isn't useful, but because I've bought a full-scale controller (Tascam FW-1884) that works with CE Pro/Audition. The Red Rover is no longer needed in my setup. If this posting doesn't sell the item, it goes on eBay after Xmas.
