In fact there is this new copy protection which only can be overcome if you cover some "grooves" on the circumference with a (better removable) feltpen. Has anybody already encountered this? I've also seen some japanese wood blocks for an exorbitant price which are placed under turntables and the advertisement reads nearly identical to those cables and mains connectors. Certainly you believe into them and really hear the improvement, otherwise you have to admit being utterly stupid to have wasted 1000 bucks for some 50cent worth of useless wood. So whoever has bought those expensive mains- or loudspeaker cables will never admit they have no effect, the investment was simply too high.
