I thought that line was funny because it sounded like an unintentional "X-Files" reference (both via an episode title and because it sounds like one of those words "X" writers would put into the script to make the show seem intellectual) and it made me think of how if Chris Carter was producing "Alias" we'd still be where the show was in episode 8.
