Brilliant. They take a really funny series and try making a rigid clone
of it, only chopping out the best lines on grounds of "taste", and
employing a brain-dead casting director--and it fails. So from this they
conclude that by starting with a painfully unfunny series, they can
succeed with exactly the same talent pool and, presumably, strategy. Oh,
well, at least in this case there is no possible way it could be worse
than the original.
