The place is not the same without you. Whether you want to talk about AMC or about the lint in your navel, it doesn't matter to me. AMC is one of the only focused, cohesive soaps on now. Unfortunately, the collective vision of the show is not one that I can enjoy or comment upon. There have been many times when AMC was in a sad state, but there was a great deal of fun, campiness, or at least absurdity (intentional or no) that I could happily trash. There is precious little of that on the show now. I suppose I should be grateful, unlike some other soaps (DAYS), I do not have to tune in and see Myrtle being stabbed to death in her kitchen, or see Stuart beaten to death with a brick.
