Try ARTSearch....a subscription is fairly expensive, IIRC, but not a bad
investment if he's planning to make a living in the business.  Also, local
college libraries (and possibly your public library) and/or career
development offices often have it.  

Check your library also for the Regional Theater Guide, a yearly
publication listing all the regional theatres (by region), along with
contact information. Be prepared to send out a lot of resumes and hear
from only a few people from these listings.
