I was doing a turn FOH last night and took a good look at the IR
transmitters. Green LED top left corner and two vertical strips either side
of centre glowing a very dull red. Barely noticable with the house up and
faint but obvious under blackout. Last night I was working at the rear of
the house - normally I'm right down at the front where obviously the
transmitters appear brighter.

I stand by what I have said: the visible output from these is outside the normal visible spectrum.

Granted, some people may have abnormal sensitivity in this region. I have
abnormal sensitivity to UV. Most people don't even know that they are there.

I've always assumed "I think therefore I am" was prettty universal.
