If, for whatever reason, you have to implement one, you will do whatever your
engineering skills and talents tell you needs to be done. I should.

But, it would not stop me from giving strong advice against it. 

The Quad 405 is popular because it has a very versatile output transformer. All
the windings in parallel, 2 ohms: all the windings in series, 100V line. Take
your pick.
