AGE-SEX-LOCATION CASTING ANNOUNCED Titus Media and Paul Savident today announced the casting of Marcus Markou's cyberspace comedy Age-Sex-Location, which runs at the Riverside Studios, Hammersmith, from 9 to 28 February 2004, prior to a West End transfer. The full cast is as follows: Ed Stoppard (Dave): having recently won acclaim for his part in Roman Polanski's Oscar-winning film The Pianist, Ed Stoppard is headed for Hollywood, but is committed to a stage career, too, having appeared in plays as varied as Wit, The Magistrate and The Road to Ruin. Ewen Macintosh (Trevor): Ewen is best-known as Keith in the hugely popular BBC television series The Office, and has also been seen in the BBC's Comedy Nation as well as in a short film, Country Boy, and on stage in Navel Gazing. Amber Agar (MiniMouse/Desiree): shortly to be seen in a lead role in ITV's Murder Squad, Amber graduated from RADA in 2002 and has already played lead roles on stage – including Olivia in Twelfth Night and Lady Macbeth in Macbeth, both at the Orange Tree, Richmond. Omer Barnea (Gus): Israel's leading actor and male model, Omer has already worked with Age-Sex-Location's director Pip Pickering in the award-winning Who's Harry? at Edinburgh. Richard Durden (McGill): Richard's career ranges from recent theatre hits including Michael Grandage's production of Richard III at the Crucible, Sheffield, to Tim Burton's Batman, and American television's Helen of Troy, as well as the BBC's Daniel Deronda. Jane How (Rachael): currently filming A Good Woman in Italy, Jane How was Jan, Dirty Den's mistress in EastEnders, but is better known to theatregoers for lead roles in Coward (Hay Fever, Crucible, Sheffield), Maugham (Home and Beauty, Lyric, Shaftesbury Avenue) and Cole Porter (High Society, Crucible, Sheffield). Katherine Jakeways (RoseThorn): Britain's leading young female stand-up comedian, Katherine is also a television presenter (GMTV) and stage actress – Hamlet, Cahoots Macbeth, A Midsummer Night's Dream. This is a dream cast for a play that is funny, intelligent, sexy and ground-breaking – a play that is very much of our internet age yet addresses ageless issues of love, sex – and gender identification. Age-Sex-Location is a fast paced, darkly comic look at what happens when virtual reality breaks through the computer screen – and the girl you've been on-line with comes knocking on your door. Age-Sex-Location is directed by Pip Pickering (Who's Harry?, A Dangerous Woman, The Vortex), with video and lighting design by Sven Ortel (Jerry Springer – The Opera, Jumpers, Coast of Utopia) and written by Marcus Markou, based on a story by Marcus Markou and Richard Redman.
