Well, you opened the door there... ;) *spoilers* . . . . . . . . . My main problem was I didn't find Shinzon either threatening or entertaining. Khan was a khlown, but at least it was fun to watch him chew scenery and ST2 had the benefit of tying directly back into TOS. TNG is rich in back-story content, why not use it? Why make up Commander Donatra when they could have used Sela? Why insist on using Worf as comic relief? Isn't it conveneint that they introduce a Data-counterpart just in time to kill Data off? Shinzon looked *nothing* like Picard, and what was with the goofy picture of "Picard" dressed as a cadet -- with a bald head? We know he had hair up until about the time of Jack Crusher's death, less than 20 years prior. To me, nothing that supposed to be funny was funny, stuff that was supposed to be touching *was* funny (and often embarrassing), and stuff that was supposed to be exciting was trite (for the most part -- I mean, the space battle itself was cool). Don't get me wrong, I had fun with most of it, but it's not a great Trek movie. I wanted to believe Generations was clunky just because it was the first TNG movie, FC was an example of the direction the franchise was moving in, and Insurrection was just a bump along the way. After Nemesis, I'm beginning to think FC was a fluke.
