Re: why not make star trek cultures into reality?

why not implement intellectual societies that have been presented in
sci fi?Examples would be vulcan ,borg, mentat(dune series,(human

the progressive aspects such as intelligence increase, technological
innovation, etc.Instead of wishing that we lived in the star trek
universe or some other sci fi equivalent .let us make it a reality as
far as is practical. If anyone knows of the existence of such societies
or organizations please post reply or email me direct. The closest
thing i have found is transhuman /extropian organizations.

Well, so far the SS seems about our closest to the Borg, and I wouldn't care to see
that experiment re-run. The Jesuits are sort of Vulcan. What I'd _like_ to see, a
bit ahead of time, is late-21st-century Earth, if we could just dispose of war, hate,
hunger and so on without the bother of WWIII.

Make it so!

With unlimited funds, I'd like to found a Star Fleet Institute, with that over the door,
and combine a kind of clubhouse with an environment fostering a combined fan
effort to realize Star Trek ideals in the present world.
