Similtude open-ended? (Spoilers)

I was wondering if the launching of Sim's body into the Expanse, with its
known anomalies and odd energy, will somehow come back to haunt the crew
of Enterprise ala Tasha Yar's Romulan daughter or Space Seed's Khan.

Some alien culture such as the Xindi could revive Sim, stop his rapid aging
process and recruit him to seek revenge on Enterprise for sacrificing him
for Trip.  He would know all of Enterprise's weaknesses.

Of course, he would be brainwashed so that he would believe that he was
forced to 'die' for Trip and want vengence in a future episode or season.
As it was, he seemed to harbor some resentment to being sacrificed for the
procedure.
