I read the complete Sherlock Holmes stories years ago (while listening to Shelby Lynne's album "Temptation" - now, everytime I hear that album, it takes me back to the Holmes stories). I enjoy Carole Nelson Douglas' "Irene Adler" series, which is based on the Holmes story where Holmes encounters Irene Adler and she pretty much outwits him (is the title 'Scandal in Bohemia'?). I think the first book in the series is "Good Night, Mr. Holmes". They reprinted the whole series recently, but I noticed that they changed the names for several of them. I almost bought the 'new' titles before realizing that they were just reprints of books I had. There is a complete list of the books (showing alternate titles) in the inside cover of the recent books. They are written in the same style as the Holmes books, and I enjoy them - they should be read in order, though. Fire3Sky
