Allan Eckert dabbled with The Hab Theory, and shouldn't have.  The north 
pole accumulates so much ice that Earth gets topheavy and falls over on its 
side.

Ditto David Bergantino.  In Venus Development, he moves Venus to a more 
pleasant orbit by landing hundreds of spaceships on one side of the planet, 
then turning on all their thrusters at once to push the planet into its new 
orbit.
