Clearly the relationship between (the only?) two humans will be significant in some way. I'd personally make it a permanent love-hate thing, where the guy dislikes the woman for some reason and the woman likes the guy for some reason. That would open up a lot of potential conflict, with the guy disliking a fellow human possbily more than the robots that hold him captive and her giving them orders that can contradict his.
