Can't reach secret area 3 in "Myteries of the sith" level 14 ("Temple Catacombs")

Hello!

I can't reach the secret area 3 in "Myteries of the sith" level 14
("Temple Catacombs"), look here:

According to Lucas Arts hints you should fall down the hole at the
beginning of the right path and then move a little to your left, turn
on your Force Speed and just run, not jump, to the ledge directly
across from you. - I tried running, but always fell down before I could
reach this ledge.

Then I looked for another walkthrough in the internet and found this:
"When you drop into the valley, directly across from you is a ledge on
the opposite wall of the valley. Drop down onto the next ledge below
you as if you were descending into the valley normally and then turn
and force jump over onto this other side of the valley." - I tried
jumping, but always collided with the ceiling and fell down before I
could reach this ledge.

It seems to me that using the cheat "freebird" which enables Mara to
fly is the
only way to go to this secret area... what a shame

Did anybody reach it regularly, or is there a bug in the game?

I'm thankful for any hint. Maybe someone could send me a savegame with
the exact position to start running/jumping to overcome the gap? Please
compress it, because my sneakemail account refuses messages with
attachments bigger than 350KB.
