Just out of curiosity, am I the only one who has fun doing revisions? I finished a chapter, print the sucker out, wait until the next day, read through it cold, making pen-and-ink changes -- the things that are "wrong" just leap right off the page at me, and the revised version almost invariably seems to me to be better than the first draft, which makes the whole revision process intensely satisfying. Is there anyone else who has this experience? Or am I just a freak? -- Any sufficiently advanced stupidity is indistinguishable from malice. -- seen on Usenet, 10/22/03 (with apologies to Arthur C.
