UMass SFS alums search

Greetings and felicitations.  I attended a meeting of UMSFS (UMass [Amherst]
Science Fiction Society) tonight, and the Executive Board is seeking club
alumni (and alumnae ^_^ ), as next year is the fortieth anniversary of the
founding, and they would like to hold some sort of celebration, particularly
next fall.

The celebration will be in two parts--first, a quiet party with cake on the
actual day (22 or 24 April--none of us remember which at this point, though
it is being checked; I do recall that it is Insanity*3's (Rob Bazemore's)
birthday) of the founding, to be held in one of the Campus Center's rooms.
Any and all members, former members and associates (from GHL/Grenadiers,
SSFFS, Bellatrix, PVCC, and other local fannish organizations) are invited.
Second, the idea of a dinner in the Campus Center Auditorium is being
floated, though this is not definite.  No one specific is in charge of this
yet on the club end, but that should be dealt with soon.

For this they need names and contact points, especially since recent
Executive Board members have apparently discarded the old membership forms
(with the exception of most of the lifetime honorary forms, which escaped
the purge), so records of old members are now almost none existent.  I and
the club E-Board are aware that there is an alums mailing list (centered in
Boston?), though none of us are on it.  Would someone be kind enough to send
the address to me?  It would probably be best if discussion was transferred
to there.
