Karin Slaughter is pretty well liked on this group, having posted here for some time, but her books are not for everyone. There are those here who haven't read them, or who didn't like them (no KS, I'm NOT naming names!!). Personally, it just makes me more determined to help you find something you WILL like. You were pretty good about responding to folks' suggestions -- but you didn't respond to mine. With the way Usenet burps and hiccups, I wasn't sure you saw it. I can repost it if you didn't, or you can get it through Google. Beth (never throws up her hands in disgust at a _reader_)
