New Orleans Mourning is Julie Smith, not April Smith. Ill Wind isn't one of
the very best of Barr's books, nor is it one of the worst. For the best,
try Firestorm, Blind Descent, or Deep South.

The Kate Martinelli books are quite different from the Mary Russell books.
However, they are also somewhat inconsistent. I think To Play the Fool is a
bit of a masterpiece, and A Grave Talent is also good. King's last two
books, which are somewhat connected, but not part of either earlier series,
are excellent. Those would be Folly and Keeping Watch.
