Doesn't make any sense. You can create the same compositions in Super-35 as with anamorphic. You shoot with something like a 20mm spherical in Super-35 and crop vertically to 2.35 and you'll get more or less the same composition as something shot with a 40mm anamorphic lens. If Super-35 seems cramped, it's just because the filmmakers are composing it to look cramped. They could compose it to look loose too.
