Just remembered, I used the techniques I described (Sanken CSS-5 and radios)
whilst shooting a Guiness commercial last year.

There was a blue grass band in a barn scene and during the lunch break
I arranged to record the track they were playing in the commercial.

Hung the CSS-5 over them. Stuck a radio on the double bass and another
one on the violinist, then placed (panned) the two radios to sound as
appropriate to the image from the Sanken.

The result sounded great and all acheived in about 20 minutes!
