Every poster I've seen for this film says "Kal Ho Naa Ho". The Devnagri script says the same thing, as far as I can make out. By the way, this film looks crap. I saw the preview for it before Baghban in some multiplex in Bombay. It looks like any other love triangle, stitched up as "The greatest story ever told". I'm going to do my level best to avoid it. As if Shah Rukh wasn't enough, it also features Preity Zinta, who I'll never ever be able to watch in a film again, after "Armaan". It'll probably appeal to the lowest common denominator here, like villagers from Ahmedabad. Me, I'll probably take my grandmother to "Wah Wah Ramji" before watching such a hopeless film. And the level of antagonism towards Shah Rukh in India is amazing. Universally, people say he can't emote and acts like a mahabore. This isn't just my family. I was stopped at some lights in Bandra on Sunday. A beggar without an arm asked me for some cash. I asked him what he thought of Shah Rukh. The response cracked me up: "Oos aadmi ko acting nahin aata hain" or something of the sort. (My Hindi is very crap.) I gave the guy 10 rupees. Even the beggars for whom Shah Rukh targets his acting hate him. Baghban was not bad. Story was a little different. Hema looks great from the front - like a young girl, better than in "Sholay". From the side, you can tell that she's grown a bit older - her neck is kind of flabby, as happens with old women. Nothing a bit of liposuction couldn't fix. Salman is very weird in the film - his role is downright creepy. Cheers, Aditya
