Private videos also fall into a formulaic rut. Put a beautiful woman
in an exotic setting (such as Egypt, a desert island, a chalet high on
a mountain), and you would think that this inspires eroticism? Not
really. I find Pyramid 1- NNN tedious to watch a second time. Want to
know how to kill a great/original idea. Repeat the theme over and over
again in a series. Is Pierre Woodman planning Cleopatra 10 - 20 right
now as we type?
Great porn has a high re-watchability factor, for want of a better
term. More so than great film (like Citizen Kane, Tokyo Story, The
Marriage of Maria Braun, etc.), which you might watch clinically the
2nd time around.
Anyway, what draws you back to Ginger Lynn, Tammi Ann, Nikki Randall,
Annette Haven, and the really sexy stars is their mystique and
feminine appeal. Great bods too. Porn oughta be like really good food.
Tasty, yummy, sensuous, and evocative. A good thing bares (sic)
repeating. Contrary to those who feel that porn has gone downhill
since the 70's and 80's, nothing could be further from the truth.
Search out the work of Stephanie Swift (Real Swift, Double Feature, or
even Deep Inside Stephanie Swift, a comp) and you may not want to go
back to the 80's. Hooray for Katie Gold, Brandy (Itty Bitty
Cheerleaders 2), Gwen Summers, and many other cuties whose work spans
the last 5-10 years. They carry on the mission of Viper, Tamara
Longley, Sioban Hunter, Megan Leigh, Abigail Clayton, Loni Sanders,
and the other special stars whose pleasing and unique personalities I
have enjoyed on screen. Some kind of women, indeed.
