That is a bit over the top. Though I must say that in '86 Aliens was the single most intense film available, nothing came close to it. I brought many people to see it and every time they were shocked how good it was. I loved sitting next to guys and gals who just went nuts watching it. This was way back when movies were things you could only see in a theater. I still remember the girls in front of me the first viewing; they slammed back in their seats so often my knees are still wonky. It was more than just a movie at the time. It was the next wave. It broke the walls down and let everyone know you could really challenge the audience without insuting them. Anyone else remember when that door was cut loose in the beginning and the sound rattled you? It was that moment that I realized the movie was something outside of what I had known before.
